Account Creation & Profile Management

The first step is to create your main user account.  When viewing from desktop you'll see a sign in or register link in the main menu. If you're viewing from mobile, you'll see a person icon at the top of the screen.

You'll be promoted to select either an aspiring artist/industry professional account or a fan/supporter account.

Once your account is created, go back to the main menu and select "Add a profile".  Multiple profile types will be available. An explanation for each type is listed at the bottom of the page if you're unsure which one you should sign up for.  From there, simply fill in all the required fields and submit your profile listing for approval.  Every new profile is manually approved.

To maximize your visibility and appeal, your profile should be a compelling digital resume. We strongly recommend including:

* High-Resolution Visuals: A professional profile picture, a captivating banner image, and an array of high-quality photos and graphics that reflect your brand.

* Engaging Artist Bio: A well-crafted, concise yet informative biography that highlights your genre, influences, unique artistic voice, and career aspirations. Think of it as your elevator pitch.

* Comprehensive Music Links: Direct, active links to all your music on major streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, SoundCloud, YouTube Music, etc.).

* Detailed "bio" Section: Expand on your musical journey, noteworthy achievements (e.g., awards, significant gigs, press mentions), and current projects you're passionate about.

* Professional Contact Information: An active email address for serious inquiries.

* Cross-Platform Social Media Links: Links to your other professional social media profiles (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X/Twitter, etc.) to offer a holistic view of your online presence.

Absolutely! Your profile is dynamic. You can access your account settings at any time to edit and update all your profile information, including your bio, music links, photos, videos, and contact details. We highly encourage you to keep your profile current to reflect your latest work and collaborations. In the main menu under your username, you'll find a link called "My Listings". Simply click on "edit" on any of your active listings to make the changes/additions you need.

No problem. On the login page, simply click the "Forgot Password" link. You'll be prompted to enter your registered email address, and we'll send you instructions on how to securely reset your password.

Yes! Producers, managers, and labels can post multiple profiles for their artists. Simply create your main user account, then add as many artist profiles as you need.

We'd be sad to see you go! You can initiate account deletion in two steps:

Step 1: Select "My Listings" from the main user menu. Select delete on the profile listing that you would like to remove.

Step 2: If you want to completely remove your user account you'll need to contact us using the from on our contact us page. We manually remove each account to ensure that all data including profile info, photo uploads, file uploads and audio from the audio library are removed properly.

Showcasing & Sharing Your Music

Make sure you're logged in and that you have created your performing artist or developing artist profile.  Then, select "Music" from the main menu and then "Upload my Music".

You'll see an upload form that you will need to fill out.  Attach your audio file and cover art for the track (cover art needs to be completely square). Click submit and we'll receive a notification to approve and process it.

All submitted songs are reviewed for accuracy to maintain the quality and reliability of our platform. Once approved and processed, your music will appear on our platform within 24-48 hours.  A new “Listen” tab will also appear at the top of your profile page listing all of your uploaded tracks.

We believe artists should always own their work, and you’ll always retain full rights to everything you upload!

Yes, absolutely! We actively encourage a culture of constructive criticism and mutual support. You can share your music and invite other members to listen, comment, and provide valuable insights.

No, there aren't any limitations to the number of audio tracks that you upload. The more the better!

While we provide a secure platform for sharing, it is crucial that artists understand and protect their intellectual property. We strongly recommend that you copyright your music before uploading it to any public platform.

Our Terms of Service outline our policies regarding content usage and user responsibilities, but The Nashville Beat does not provide copyright registration services. For full legal protection, consult with a qualified intellectual property lawyer.

We help to get your music discovered in a few different ways:

* Sticky Player: The sticky player that stays with you at the bottom of the screen while you browse always plays the music randomly to make it fair for everyone to get exposure.

* Listen Tab: After your music has been approved and added to your audio library, a new "Listen" tab will appear at the top of your profile page. This lets everyone know immediately that you have uploaded audio files for everyone to listen to.

* Tagging: Use relevant keywords, genres, and moods when uploading your music.

* Engage Actively: Comment on, share, and appreciate other artists' work. In turn, they will likely do the same.

* Music Promotions: Each week we will randomly feature selected songs at the top of the listen page.

* Share Beyond The Nashville Beat: Promote your Nashville Beat profile on your other social media channels.
