Robert Bumstead

Hey y’al, my name is Robert Bumstead I’m a singer/songwriter from the Beaumont, Texas area. I grew up in a singing family and learned to play guitar at around 11 years old. My family traveled a lot for work and for around 2-3 years I lived in Nashville.

My mom worked at a bar on Broadway and my dad was a concessions manager for what is now the Bridgestone arena. I got to hear amazing music growing up not just from walking up and down Broadway but from my parents as well. After a while we moved to Arkansas and then back to Texas where I learned guitar in church.

Skip a few years and now I’m graduated high school and doing what all my friends were doing, working in the refineries. After about a year into, I picked my guitar back up and just started playing. From there I played hundreds of bars and restaurants in my area and beyond. Then a couple years later I met a girl in a karaoke bar who is now my beautiful wife. Her mother ran the karaoke and now I run it with her. So on top of being a husband, father and chicken farmer, I run my own karaoke business along with my own shows and still work everyday in the refineries.
